Grizzly is the result of a challenge my professor gave me: to create a brand for the opposite sex. I love products with copy that feels kind of sarcastic and witty, so I started with that concept. People tend to poke fun at the “bearded hipster” and I thought that would be a fun demographic to use as a base. I ended up with an organic bath and body line called Grizzly. I pulled stereotypical styles and patterns of hipsters to almost create this satirical brand. I chose to create the only three products I thought a bearded hipster might need: beard tonic, soap, and an all-in-one salve along with an advertisement.
